Peter Morris
Go west young man! Adhering to this sage advice,
Peter Morris ventured to Tahoe in 1976. Having received a BS in
Economics from Hobart College in upstate New York business opportunities
beckoned, but the lure of the mountains was too strong to resist.
Enamored with skiing he secured a position with the Pro Ski Patrol
at Squaw Valley and was a pioneer by establishing the very first
full time avalanche rescue dog in the nation. The off-season was
filled with learning, first hand, how houses were built. Learning
the construction trade was good experience, and patrolling had
its great moments, but … in 1983 the challenges of a career in
real estate took over. Now licensed as a broker, he stepped into
the realm of real estate professional with full commitment. He
has served as President of the Tahoe Sierra Board of Realtors
and has been given the Realtor of the Year award by his constituents.
He continues to serve the TSBoR as chairman of the Legislative
and Governmental Relations committee and is now in his 8th year
as Director to the California Association of Realtors. Professionalism,
experience, knowledge and tremendous appreciation for the area
in which we live…Peter Morris.
